Program Overview

• GKS Exchange Students Program offers financial support for selected international exchange students at affiliated universities in Korea.
  The grants cover the expenses for accommodation, settlement, airfare, and insurance fee.

Support period

• 4 months(1 semester)

Application Qualifications

• Undergraduate and graduate (Master's and Doctoral degree) students of foreign nationality who are enrolled in an overseas university that have agreements with a Korean university affiliated with NIIED.
• Applicants whose overall academic performance at their home university is 80% or above.
• Applicants must be enrolled in a degree exchange program (those enrolled solely in Korean language courses are excluded).
• Applicants who have previously received scholarship from the korean government are not eligible.
• Dual nationals who hold Korean citizenship are not eligible.

Selection Procedure

• The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) selects universities to operate the GKS Exchange Students Program >
  NIIED reviews and selects scholarship applicants recommended by the selected universities
